In Japan there was also a green version and a stadium 2(the american stadium 2 is known a stadium 3 in Japan)There is a rumor going around that a pokemon game for gamecube is coming out in which you play through the eyes of a team rocket character.

Pokemon is more than just and game and T.V show! There are so many things that bring kids from all over the place together. For instance, The pokemon trading card game has a trading card league. Also the gameboy game has it's own summer training tour. The training tour is really a lot of fun. They give out free gifts and you get to battle other kids and win badges.
